750 MV Magni 1978.

Updated: Mar 19

£82,000.

This example was sent to the famous Magni workshop in the early 1980s, where it received its initial modifications to Magni-specification, before returning in 2008 to be upgraded to a very rare full Magni conversion.

It boasts some interesting provenance having participated in numerous classic events, including the Retro-Moto de Saint Cergue at Vaud (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015), the Coupes Moto Légende à Dijon (2010), and the Sunday Ride Classique at Le Castellet in 2009, 2013, 2015, and 2016.

This 750 was fully converted from a 750 America at the Magni workshops in Samarate, Italy over the course of two visits. The ‘full’ specification includes a lightweight chrome-molybdenum race frame, a chain drive conversion, EPM magnesium wheels, a full body kit with tank, seat, side panels and an ultra-thin full fairing, and a Magni race exhaust system with removable baffles.

It's also undergone a comprehensive restoration by Mark and Dave Kay at UK MV specialist MV Meccanica Verghera, which included the chassis being restored, and the engine being stripped, inspected and rebuilt with new parts where needed, whilst maintaining the original paintwork’s patina, invoice for over £14K on file.

Unlike many similar machines this bike as well as looking stunning is a riders machine with the current owner using it regularly, it genuinely is a well and truly sorted bike all ready to ride away.
